More Info

The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund is the Royal Air Force’s leading welfare charity, supporting serving personnel and their families and veterans who need our help in older age.  In 2017 we spent just under £20million.

We need to recruit an exceptional community fundraiser with the skills and experience to further develop our fundraising capabilities primarily within Scotland. As part of our UK community fundraising team, you will be responsible for raising income by maximising existing networks of supporters and building new relationships within the RAF and with community groups and local business in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

To be successful in this interesting and rewarding role you’ll need to have:

– proven experience of exceeding fundraising targets

– strong networking skills and the ability to quickly build relationships

– ability to influence and motivate people to support us

– passion and commitment to make a difference

You must have proven community fundraising experience, ideally possessing an Institute of Fundraising Certificate. You will also have initiative, flair and enthusiasm for the work of the RAFBF.  If you know something about the RAF that would also be useful but is not essential.

The role requires significant travel around a large geographical area and some overnight stays away from home as well as working occasional evenings and weekends at events.
