Job Description:

Responsible for ensuring delivery of targets for maximising income generation, including fundraising volunteer recruitment
Identification of other important opportunities such as major giving
Ensuring effective fundraising processes and supporting the development of our fundraising volunteer network
Work with community fundraisers to facilitate maximum effectiveness of their fundraising
Supporting, coaching and training fundraisers to ensure delivery of income targets at an agreed ratio to expenditure
Drive the fundraising in each area for development and growth including the number of fundraising volunteers
To support and line manage members of the community fundraising team ensuring they have the skills and support to achieve their income targets
Assist community fundraising management in the development of community fundraising strategies and to support any relevant UK-wide campaigns with available resources
Identifying key members of the community (local companies, organisations, key volunteers) and potential major donors in order to develop and grow relationships beneficial to community fundraising
Ensure all areas have plans for recruiting new fundraising volunteers and that these volunteers are recruited, encouraged and supported by the community fundraisers
To ensure all fundraising activity complies with charity law

Essential Requirements
Significant experience in community fundraising including working with and supporting volunteers
Experience of preparing and monitoring and analysing plans and budgets
Experience of working under own initiative and managing own workload
Management of staff including responsibility for recruitment, development and performance management
Identification and some provision of appropriate training for staff including delivery of one to one coaching and group workshops
Knowledge of Word, Excel, Internet and Email use
Knowledge and experience of fundraising database use
Ability to assimilate and analyse written and financial information quickly and accurately
Ability to solve problems and tackle challenges
Excellent communication skills both on the telephone and face to face
Excellent motivational and training/coaching skills
Ability to travel on a regular basis
Full driving licence
